Biography

Charles O. Goulet was born in
Henribourg, Saskatchewan, Canada of French Canadian
parents who came from Biddeford, Maine, USA, after
leaving Quebec, Canada earlier. He was raised and schooled in the village of Albertville, Saskatchewan, Canada. He started his teaching career in Saskatchewan, but soon moved to Alberta where he continued in the teaching profession. He obtained a Bachelor of Education in English and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Alberta. He taught for many years in Edmonton and retired from teaching in 1985 to take up a career in writing. Since that time he has written many historical novels for young adults/teens and adults based on the history of French Canadians. He now lives at Jones Beach, a beautiful sub-division on the north shore of Lake Isle in Alberta, Canada, where he continues to write historical novels. |
